Tesla Motors

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Tesla on the Safety & Restraints team, I have successfully developed and implemented innovative seatbelt technologies, including motorized retractors and advanced occupant detection systems. I have collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of these technologies. I have also conducted rigorous testing and analysis to validate the performance and safety of seatbelt designs.

I also am really good at kicking butt (3rd place) at Go Kart.

I have also interned as a Quality Engineer in the paint departmnet at the Tesla Fremont factory (2019), and on the Safety & Restraints team (2022). These were one of my most memorable co-op terms and definetly a great experience!

Working in paint quality I was introduced to problems most people have not seen before, and much of the problems I was assigned to solve included using RCA to find a solution.

Some of the major issues I helped solved included the warped bumpers and misaligned sensors on the Model 3.

I was given the opportunity to work on some really cool tech while also contributing meaningfuly to the company. Here is a link to a tweet Elon Musk made about paint quality shortly after my internship!

By the end of my internships I had learned about Problem Solving, Paint Quality, and Java Programming.
