I worked as a Quality Engineer in the paint departmnet at the Tesla Fremont factory. This was one of my most memorable co-op terms and definetly a great experience!
Working in paint quality I was introduced to problems most people have not seen before, and much of the problems I was assigned to solve included using RCA to find a solution.
Some of the major issues I helped solved included the warped bumpers and misaligned sensors on the Model 3.
I was given the opportunity to work on some really cool tech while also contributing meaningfuly to the company. Here is a link to a tweet Elon Musk made about paint quality shortly after my internship!
By the end of my internship I had learned about Problem Solving, Paint Quality, and Java Programming.
