Freelance Product Design

During the summer of COVID-19 there was an opportunity for me to start my own business and start freelancing. Due to the government providing students with a monthly income, I had some financial stability that allowed me to pursue consulting and get my feet wet with the self-employed side of engineering.

My first "client" was a startup working on vertical gardening towers where I was responsible for bringing the idea to a physical prototype. I did this by creating CAD models and 3D printing components for verification. Once the prototype was fully functional, I created renderings using KeyShot of the final design.

I was also introdued to the business and management side of engineering in terms of communication, client acquisition, and financial management. During this time I was also working full time at another company and taking summer classes for my specialization so I was able to develop exceptional time management skills as well.
