At Bionik I worked as a Hardware Engineer, which is a robotics company that creates therapy robots which help patients regain motor functions following a neurological condition or injury (such as a stroke).

My main project during this co-op was to spec out the motors to be used in the next-generation of products. I did this by completing a suite of testing to evaluate motors based on stiffness, cogging torque, and many other criteria.

I also designed & drafted parts in SolidWorks such as adapters, and other small components for use in prototyping by first completing FEA to ensure each part met the required load conditions.

At the end of the internship I had developed skills in FEA, Supplier Relations, and CAD Design.
